A Belted Galloway is a traditional Scottish breed of beef cattle. They derive from the Galloway region of south west Scotland and are commonly known as ‘Belties’. It is black with a broad white stripe round the middle. There is a fine herd of Belties to be seen around the Cladville, Portnahaven area.
