Choughs at Kilchoman Beach.
Printed on black on white Daler Rowney 300gsm paper with hand colour
Paper size 210mm x 320mm
Image size: 200mm x 300mm
Choughs are the scarcest of the British crows. Once common they are now confined to the cliff coasts in a few areas of Britain. Thankfully their numbers are much improved on Islay due to the conservation of habitat by the RSPB. They have glossy black plumage, a long curved red bill and red legs and a loud ringing call. They can be spotted over the dunes and cliffs of Islay.
